2023: Two PDP presidential aspirants lose N80m as party disqualifies them

The opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Friday, disqualified two of its 17 presidential aspirants.

With this development, the two aspirants would forfeit the N40 million they paid for the expression of interest and nomination forms.

Speaking, the  chairman of the presidential screening committee, Senator David Mark announced the disqualification of the two aspirants on Friday evening.

Mark, however, refused to reveal the identities of the affected aspirants and the reason(s) for their disqualification.
