Breaking: Omo-Agege floors Ekweremadu, polls 68 votes to emerge new Deputy Senate President

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege from Delta State has emerged the Deputy President of the 9th Senate.

He defeated the former Deputy Senate President in the 8th Senate, Ike Ekweremadu.

Ekweremadu polled 37 votes while Omo-Agege garnered 68 votes to emerge the winner.

After the election, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole and others went to congratulate the new Senate President, Ahmed Lawan.
