President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the passing away of Hausa poet and singer, Isyaku ‘Forest’ Mohammed.
It should be noted that the singer was very popular in the North.
He composed campaign songs for Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Buhari described his passing as a great loss to “political and cultural heritage”.
Hid message was delivered to the deceased’s family by Garba Shehu, his Senior Special Assistant on Media.
According to Buhari, Forest’s music that of his compatriots “enthralled followers who kept faith with the party”.
“He will forever remain in our thoughts. My condolences to his family, friends and admirers”, he added.
Speaking through Hajiya Habiba, the mother, Dauda Kahutu (Rarara) and Yusuf Haruna (Baban Chinedu), two foremost singers, the family thanked Buhari for the visit.
Other personalities on the presidential delegation were Ahmed Idris, Accountant-General of the Federation and Faruk Adamu Aliyu, APC leader in Jigawa.
