Ex-President Jonathan breaks silence on e-transfer of election results

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has said that he is in support of electronic transmission of results.

Jonathan said this while delivering a lecture at the inauguration ceremony of National Defence College (NDC) Course 30, in Abuja on Wednesday.

He also spoke on the e-transfer of election results.

“Where there is no confidence in the electoral umpire, people resort to crisis. But unfortunately, when the result come out, the damage would have been done.

“I urge the National Assembly while looking at the law, to allow the use of electronic means of transmitting results for the sake of transparency”, he appealed
