Former INEC REC wins APC governorship primaries in Plateau

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State has announced Dr. Nentanwe Yilwatda Goshwe as the winner of its governorship primary election in the State.

It should be noted that Goshwa was the former Independent National Electoral Commissioner, INEC, Resident Electoral Commissioner in Benue State,

In the poll, Nentawe, polled a total of 803 votes to beat three other aspirants.

It was gathered that nine aspirants were in the race before voting commenced; however, 5 aspirants withdrew from the contest.

Announcing the result, Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Hon. Habu Ajiya, said those who withdrew from the contest included Sunday Garba Biggs, Dr. Sarpiya Danyaro, Sen. Hezekiah Dimka and Arch. Steve Fitka.

It was learnt that, Deputy Governor of the State, Prof. Sonni Tyoden, Dr. Patrick Dakum and David Victor Dimka walked out just before voting commenced.

The results declared by the chairman of the Electoral Committee, Hon. Ajiya:are:
