President Muhammadu Buhari has dropped the hint on how a new President would emerge in 2023.
Acccording to him, the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC) would devide his successor and not him.
Buhari dropped this hint while fielding questions from journalists of Arise TV during an exclusive interview.
He said: “About succession, what this admin can do is to make sure APC lasts beyond this administration.
“We have started registration from ward to local government and to the state level. That way, the APC can know the number of members they have state by state and local government by local government, so that by the time this administration goes, the legacy can continue.
“And that is the best way to go for the party and for the country.”
He also noted that joining APC does not automatically exonerate corrupt leaders from corruption investigations or prosecution
He lamented that those who hold such are not being fair to his administration.
Speaking on zoning, Buhari said that the APC will be the sole deciding factor.
“Shouldn’t we allow the party to decide, I just told you that we started from the bottom to the top
