Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose has broken silence on the invitation given to President Mohammadu Buhari by House of Representatives today.
The lawmakers today passed a resolution amid uproar to summon President Buhari over the murder of about 43 rice farmers by Boko Haram insurgents.
Reacting through his Twitter handle, Fayose said he would be surprised if Buhari appear before the house
He lamented that the National Assembly has become a rubber stamp of the executive, saying that they are just toothless dogs.
“I will be surprised if the President honours the House of Reps invitation.
“The National Assembly that is supposed to be representing the people should know by now that in the eyes of this President, they only exist on paper because they are mere toothless bull dogs.
“Some of those Rep members at the forefront of the invitation of the President to appear before the House should expect EFCC invitation, freezing of their accounts or arrest for plotting to bring down legitimate government of the President.
