Ihedioha victory a defeat of injustice in Imo, says lawmaker

Mr Joe Emenaha, former lawmaker, Njaba Constituency in Imo House of Assembly on Thursday described Emeka Ihedioha’s victory as the Governor-elect for the state as a victory for Imo people.

Emenaha told journalists in Abuja on Thursday that the victory was also a defeat of political injustice.

He congratulated Ihedioha, saying that his mandate was people-oriented.

“Emeka Ihedioha I know is a gentleman, man of his words and integrity.

“I know he will not disappoint Imo people, hence every person is happy with his victory, ” Emenaha said.

The former lawmaker, who urged Imo people to support Ihedioha, said that political injustice in the state had come to an end with the election of Ihedioha.

According to him, this is the time for the governor-elect to heal wounds inflicted on Imo people by the previous administration.

He, however, urged the incoming governor to run an all inclusive government that every citizen of Imo would be proud of.

Ihedioha of PDP and former Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives defeated Uche Nwosu of AA, Ifeanyi Ararume of APGA, APC’s Hope Uzodinma and others in the March 9 gubernatorial elections in Imo.
