Imo: “You are returning to govt house,” – Pastor tells Ihedioha

Some supporters of of sacked Governor Ihedioha on Thursday held an interdenominational prayers in Owerri to seek the face of God.

The prayer, which was held at the Nwankwo Kanu Sports Complex, was officiated by

Ven. Echi Nwogu; Rev. Fr. Wence Isiguzo, and Pastor Rostand Amadi of the Anglican, Catholic and Pentecostal Churches.

They thanked God and the Supreme Court for giving Ihedioha and the state a second chance by agreeing to review the judgment. The supported also prayed that Ihedioha succeeds in the court on Monday.

The prayer lasted about three hours.

Ven. Nwogu said: “We thank God for a second chance. I know that’s the source of your happiness. I know the source of your happiness is because God has heard your prayers.

“It’s because your governor is returning back to the Government House. What we are experiencing is spiritual and not tribalism, ethnicity nor political.

“It’s because having won on March 9, 2019, we forgot God in our victory and decided to do what we liked. This should serve as a lesson to all of us when we return.”
