Lagos by-election: Lagos Assembly Majority Leader lauds INEC, voters

Sanai Agunbiade, Majority Leader of Lagos State House of Assembly, has given kudos to the electoral umpire,  the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for the way it organised the Senatorial Bye-election in the state.

Acccording to the fourth term lawmaker,  INEC has significantly improved in the conduct of elections in Nigeria.

Speaking after voting at his  vote at polling unit 043 at Grammar School, Aga/Ijomu area of Ikorodu, he said that the exercise was done in peaceful atmosphere with obedience to social distancing.

“People are exercising their franchise peacefully and people are obeying Social distance while voting,” the lawmaker said.

The voters were organised and there were proper security arrangements.

It was gathered that INEC officials reported to duty early and voting exercise started in mist polling units by  8:30 a.m.
