Former Deputy Senate President, Ibrahim Mantu has said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is on its way back to Aso Rock after conducting its National Convention at the Eagle Square, Abuja.
Mantu stated that “With the conduct of free, fair and transparent Convention, PDP is on its way back to Aso Rock because everyone wants PDP back.
“We want to say goodbye to our old ways of doing things and we want to embrace new ways of doing things, so that we will meet the expectations of the people.”
‘Time for truth and due process’
Speaking on the lesson learnt in 2015, Mantu believed that the opposition party ought to learn a lesson from its ouster from the seat of power.
“Whether we have learnt a lesson or not, it will be seen from the way we conduct ourselves. If we continue with our old ways, then of course, we have not started. I say it is time for us to follow the truth and follow due process.”
Ahead of the 2019 elections, Mantu said the PDP has laid the foundation with the conduct of a peaceful Convention.
