A former aide to President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has lamented Nigeria’s security situation under President Muhammadu Buhari.
Decrying the state of insecurity in Nigeria, he said that living in Nigeria under the current administration was tantamount to being handed a death sentence.
This is coming hours after Wednesday’s kidnap of Alhaji Musa Umar, District Head of Daura, in Katsina State, which is Buhari’s community.
It was also gathered that some kidnappers had also blocked the Abuja-Kaduna Road on Monday, leaving hundreds of commuters unaccounted for.
This is just as Acting Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu disclosed that 1,071 persons lost their lives in crime-related cases and 685 persons were kidnapped across the country in the first quarter of 2019.
Adamu had made the disclosure in an address at the quarterly northern traditional rulers’ council meeting held on Tuesday in Kaduna.
Taking to Twitter to react to the insecurity in Nigeria , Omokri said, “In Nigeria today, you can condemn anyone to death by doing any of the following: make them travel Abuja-Kaduna Road, employ them as Kogi civil servants, give them farms in Benue, relocate them to Zamfar.
