The job is tough and challenging, I am eager to leave – Buhari opens up

The Nigerian President, Mohammadu Buhari has opened up about the nature of the office of presidency saying that he is eager to leave the seat, adding that it has been very tough and challenging.

Buhari made this confession while having a meeting with legislators and politicians elected under the umbrellas of the Congress (APC), in his residence in Daura, Katsina State, on Monday.

Speaking to his guests, Buhari said that they should always be willing to render help to fellow Nigerians looking for assistance.

“By this time next year, I would have made the most out of the two terms, and the remaining months I will do my best,”” he said.

According to him, he has not been able to visit his house in Daura for close to a year as a result of challenges and time demanded by the number one seat in the country.

“I wish the person who is coming after me the very best,” he said.

Lamenting on insecurity, Buhari said that the situation in the lNorth West is very worrisome, noting that he Government has achieved a lot in all the regions of the country.

“I am eager to go. I can tell you it has been tough. I am grateful to God that people appreciate the personal sacrifices we have been making,” he added.
