One of the presidential aspirants under the People’s Democratic Party POP, former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has appealed to members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to remain united.
According to him, the unity of the party would be the determining factor for its victory in the 2023 general election.
“I appeal to you to tell the people not to vote for APC in the general election. They don’t have the capacity to unify this country, neither can they provide empowerment for women and youths,” he said.
He noted that PDP was putting all mechanisms in place to wrest power from the APC to correct the misfortunes that had befallen Nigeria as a result of the party’s misrule.
“Everything you have in Niger State today was as a result of the efforts from the PDP administration. This is why you need the PDP back.”
The state party Chairman, Tanko Beji, noted that the candidate who would emerge as the PDP presidential standard-bearer would make or mar the party.
