APC suspends another chieftain in Abia over alleged anti-party activities

The Caretaker Executive Committee of the All Progressive Congress in Abia state has suspended another chieftain of Abia APC, Chief Enyinnaya Harbour.

He was suspended over alleged  intention to cause disaffection among members and teeming supporters of the party across the state.

The suspended Enyinnaya Harbour is  Reportedly chairing a parallel structure of the APC in Abia and enjoys the backing of Chief Ikechi Emenike.

His faction held  its ward congresses last weekend which many party members viewed as total disregard of the party’s constitution.

Speaking at the state party secretariat l in Umuahia, the state capital, Hon Donatus Nwankpa, the Chairman of the Abia Caretaker Executive Committee of the party, said that Enyinnaya Harbour was suspended by the Ward 3 executive committee of in Arochukwu Local Government after allegation of causing disaffection in the party fold.

His words, “Enyinnaya Harbour is a member of the party, and a fine gentleman, he has been suspended by the ward executive committee of the APC in Arochukwu for impersonation and other activities aimed at causing disaffection among party members in the state.

“There is no cause for alarm. Abia APC is intact and there is no quarrel in the party fold. We have illicit confidence in the Governor Mai Mala Buni-led National Caretaker Executive Committee of our great party, the APC in resolving all issues that arose during the ward congress held across the 184 wards in the state”.
