The Acting head of the pan-Yoruba socio-political organization, Afenifere, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to resign immediately due to myriad of challenges facing Nigeria.
Stating that law and order has broken down in the country, he stressed that Buhari should respect himself by taking the exit door
The elder stateman made this call during the dedication of the Reuben Fasoranti Chapel at Anglican Grammar School, Iju/Ita-Ogbolu to commemorate the 95th birthday of Pa Fasoranti..
Pa Adebanjo said “in a better and civilized country he (Buhari) should have gone long ago. If he has self respect, he should have gone because everything has fallen.
“What is he presiding over? Is it over corruption, security, education? Law and order has broken down in the country for the past three years. It is only because Nigerians are over tolerant of despots, that is why he is still there.”
During his sermon at the programmethe Bishop of Akure Diocese, Revd Simeon Borokini said “Nigeria is becoming a big joke to the rest of the world.
Saying that there is hope, Borokini noted that “we continue like this as a nation but we must return to our creator for direction.
Acccording to the cleric, Pa Fasoranti is a gift to the generation whose over nine decades on earth has not been stained.
