Governors are lying, they are in charge of police- Onochie

A Special Assistant to President Mohammadu Buhari, Lauretta Onochie has said that President Buhari does not control the state Governors like the last.

Acccording to her, the major priority of the President is to restructure Nigeria which he is doing.

She decried the situation where Governors are saying that they are not in charge of police in their states, saying that they get security votes.

She tweeted: Buhari is restructuring Nigeria. He does not control State Governors. Unlike in the past, they are totally in charge & are the chief security officers too

Some governors are saying they are not in charge of the police structures in their states. But the truth is, they are. They get security votes for that purpose and are also, members of the Police Council.

Speaking further about the achievements of President Buhari, the outspoken presidential aide said:

“He is the man who saw tomorrow. Some months ago, he ordered the closure of our land borders. Tongues wagged. He stood his ground.

“He also invested massively in agric and curtailed rice importation. We would have been worse off now, if he did not see today in advance.
