2019: I will provide uninterrupted power supply within six months, presidential aspirant vows

The National Conscience Party (NCP) presidential aspirant, Thomas-Wilson Ikubese has promised to provide uninterrupted power supply within six months of his inauguration.

He made the promise when he received youths from the Congress of Young Intellectuals (CYI) on Friday in his campaign secretariat in Akure.

Ikubese appreciated the delegation for finding him worthy of their confidence and accepted the membership of CYI.

He promised to provide that missing link in 2019 when voted into power.

“Within six months of the inauguration of my government, this nation shall begin to enjoy uninterrupted power supply.

“It’s an insult for a nation of over 180 million people to depend on Kainji Dam which was built in 1964.

“Rather, we shall encourage each state to generate its own power using gas turbines and empower them to distribute same without passing it through the National Grid,” he said.
