Lagos Bye-Election: Laguda of APC wins with 11, 203 votes

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for Surulere Federal Constituency I, Mr.Fuad Laguda the winner of the bye-election held in six wards of the council area.

The Returning Officer of the Election, Prof. Ladipo Adebayo of the University of Lagos, announced that APC candidate, Laguda scored 11, 203, to defeat the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr. Jerry Afemighie, who polled 278.

The Labour Party candidate, Adeola Adebanjo polled 240 votes.

The total vote cast is 11, 900, while 138 rejected
