I was not part of any political meetings in Kaduna says Jigawa Governor

Jigawa state governor, Muhammad Badaru, has debunked an online report that he held a political meeting in Kaduna State. The governor’s spokesperson, Bello Zaki, in a statement, on Sunday, said that the report was untrue and ‎mischievous.

Zaki said the engagement the governor had was a routine meeting of sons and daughters of the state on charting a new course for development.

He added that the publication was misleading, because the report did not reflect the essence of the meeting‎.

The statement read in part, “The government has held a meeting with the elders and relevant stakeholders from the state under ‘Jigawa Forum’ to deliberate the way forward for the state.

“The forum comprises businessmen, farmers, artisans, politicians, military and para-military officers, retired and those in service. The forum ‎discusses the development of the state.”
