Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo has spoken out about the current state of the nation.
Acccording to the two-term President of Nigeria, bad leadership had made Nigeria drip in bitterness and sadness.
Obasanjo lent his voice during an event at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.
The high Chief in Owu stressed that Nigeria is finding it hard to attain its destiny due to bad leadership
He therefore called on Nigerians to change the narrative.
Obasanjo said: “My prayer is that all of us will have something to contribute to making this country what God has created it to be – a land flowing with milk and honey.
“Right now, it is a land flowing with bitterness and sadness, that is not what God wants this country to be.
“We must change the narrative, we must talk to ourselves in the civilised language.
“Nowhere you go in this country you will not see geniuses in any section. So, why should we look down on ourselves?
