Murray-Bruce on restructuring: You can’t rob Peter to pay Paul

Ben Murray-Bruce (PDP-Bayelsa East) has maintained that restructuring the country is the best solution to various agitations.

Murray-Bruce, who took to his Twitter page  noted that without restructuring, Nigeria could be rendered penniless.

“On restructuring, note that you can’t rob Peter to pay Paul and expect Peter to be happy. Of course Paul won’t want the status quo to change.

A desperate situation

The lawmaker also stated that with the impending population increase, Nigeria needs restructuring desperately.

“Our population is growing far faster than our economy and in 2 months the United Nations projects that we will overtake India as the nation with the highest population of extremely poor people. Yet India has eight times our population.

“Nigeria needs restructuring desperately,” he wrote.
