No court order restrained us from holding convention- APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has debunked the report saying that  court order had restrained the Caretaker and Extra-Ordinary Convention Planning Committee from conducting membership registration.

The statement was made by Mr Yekini Nabena, the party’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, said this inin Abuja while reacting to the issue.

“In respect of the suit: KALU KALU AGU Vs APC & ORS, /736/2020.

“A legal officer was sent to court on Nov. 17, 2020 to investigate the purported court order restraining the APC from conducting membership registration.

“Upon our findings, we discovered that such court order was never granted by the court,” he said.

According to him , no application was made to the court to warrant the granting of such order.

He urged all party faithfuls to continue with their onus of rstructuring the party, saying that news of the court order is fake.

It will be recalled that Chairman of APC Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, governor Mai Buni on November. 5, took delivery of the party’s membership registration materials.
