The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun has welcomed some members from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at Ile-Ogbo in Ayedire Local Government Council Area
The PDP decampees were welcomed by the state APC caretaker chairman, Prince Gboyega Famodun, during the inauguration of Oyetola Solidarity Forum (OSF).
He commended their courage for identifying with the winning party.
He told the defectors that they would not be discriminated against, asking them to join existing team in the APC in order to ensure the reelection of Governor Gboyega Oyetola.
In his words: “I am assuring you that the joy and happiness that you are witnessing that prompted you to join this our great party shall be permanent in Jesus Name.”
He assured the decamped members of the PDP that they will not regret joining the APC.
“You are not making a mistake by joining our party. In fact, this is where God is. Is it the party that was voted out over ten years ago that will know how to take care of you? You are in a safe hand,” he said.
